His website:
This are some images by a modern illustrator/painter called Joao Ruas. I first saw his work on the covers of the ‘Fables’ graphic novel series. He’s taken over from James Jean. Joao Ruas work has a kind of Japanese Woodblock print to them. I like the way he is combining contemporary illustration and painting create an unusual mix, but still looks good. I like the way he some his brush marks so you can see how the paint as been applied. Also here is link to his website.
