This is my cover for ‘The Bloody Chamber’ book. I am really pleased with way this cover has turned out. One of my main aims for this project was to create an eye-catching and striking cover. All of the covers I had seen for this book aren’t that impressive. They didn’t want you to pick the book and start reading it. The main idea behind the cover was to capture the essence of the stories. Most of the stories feature themes like love, but some of them have unhappy endings. The bear-trap on the back cover represents that love can be caught but you don’t always get what you thought you were going to get. The tree stump on the front cover represents that most of the stories are set in forests or mystical lands. The axe represents fear and danger. The white background on the cover makes the illustrations stand out even more.
