2001 Space Odyssey

2001: A Space Odyssey is an epic science fiction film by Stanley Kubrick who produced and directed the film. Also Kubrick co-written the screenplay with Arthur C. Clarke, author of the original story. The film is mostly about thematic points of human evolution such as technology, extraterrestrial life and artificial intelligence. It features evolutionary progressions like the dawn of man to the future, where there are spaceships. The film is expressing how evolution could change, and one day a machine could control anything. In the film there is a super computer called ‘Hal’ who was voiced by Douglas Rain. ‘Hal’ is in control of the spaceship, it does everything. It also has genuine emotions like human so it can make its own decisions. But later on in the film ‘Hal’ has a break down which leads to devastating events. I really enjoyed this film because it’s showing how the world could be in the future, with the growth of technology.
