Theatre Posters

These are my Theatre posters for my Negotiated Project. The main reasons I am reproducing the Theatre Posters is that after researching some examples of the posters, I feel that the posters have become repetitive and boring, because many of them use similar styles. In my own view none of them capture the main themes and subject matters of the plays. I wanted to get away from using the same things other people focused on in their posters. Such as the Macbeth posters people just mainly used the dagger or the crown as an answer to the play. For my Macbeth poster I came up with the idea of his hand made of stone and beginning to crack, to represent his kingdom crumbling apart. The Dracula poster is focusing more on the romantic side of the story rather than the usual horror side of the story. The Sleeping Beauty poster shows the thorns wrapping round her to represent that she is trapped and unable to escape. I think my posters have come out really well. I have achieved my aims of my project. I am going to make some small changes to the Dracula poster and I am going try to produced another poster before the final deadline.
