Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus

Over the Easter break I finally got chance to see the Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus Heath Ledger’s final film. It is by one of my favourite film directors Terry Gilliam. His films have always amazed me because of the unique and wonderful way of making films. Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus is brilliant to watch. The art direction in this is amazing it’s like seeing another world come to life. I like the way Gilliam filmed this because he short some parts of this film in real locations in England, then it would jump to this fantasy world. All the actors in film give their very best performances especially Heath Ledger as the character Tony. In my view I think Terry Gilliam has got back to his roots with this film. This film is as wired and wonderful as the film Brazil which he made in the 80’s.
